Coronavirus

Boundless Humanity acknowledges the unprecedented financial and humanitarian impact of coronavirus (COVID-19) to the global community.  Prior to this global health pandemic, more than 126 million people were in need of humanitarian assistance worldwide, including 70 million who were forcibly displaced from their homes.    In all parts of the world, impoverished communities with limited healthcare access, crowded housing infrastructure, and high unemployment rates are, and will continue to be, the most severely affected.  Due to supply chain disruptions and increased consumer demand, food prices around the world have drastically increased in recent years.  This has only served to increase the severity of food insecurity for the more than 800 million people around the world who go to bed hungry on a nightly basis.

Our organization believes the aftermath of COVID-19 will significantly contribute to this and many other already existing humanitarian crises worldwide and will have immediate negative impacts on vulnerable populations, especially those in conflict affected areas.  This added strain on government and healthcare systems will result in further displacements of families and increased immigration flows.  As such, government and non-government organizations are already struggling to meet the needs of refugees, displaced people, and vulnerable populations around the world.  The impact of COVID-19 is simultaneously increasing the demand for humanitarian services while also stretching available resources farther than anticipated, resulting in an overall reduction of assistance being available to those who need it most.

Now more than ever, our organization feels the need to act decisively with concrete programs to assist governments and communities to address these needs and stem the tide of vulnerability that limits their ability to achieve their full potential.   Therefore, we at Boundless Humanity ask that you join us in ensuring that our most vulnerable populations have the support and tools they need to meet the challenges of the future.
